Female owner will be provided photocopies of all health certifications, pedigrees and titles.

The following are the minimum requirements for all females to be bred to ______________:

  1. Minimum female age 2 years old
  2. Confirmed to standard by proof of DDBS or FCI championship. The female be of correct type, have no disqualifying traits or extreme undesirable traits even if accomplishing DDBS or FCI championships. This is up to the stud dog owner to determine.
  3. Temperament Stable as proven by temperament test administered by ATTS, DDBS, CKC, CKC USA, or ERBDC (other organizations, please contact stud dog owner if they will be approved) The female must be of sound, stable temperament with no history of biting of a person or persons.
  4. The female must be in good health as evidenced by an updated veterinary examination conducted by a board licensed Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine within the last 90 days prior to breeding. Said examination MUST include, but not limited to:
In consideration of a payment of ___ puppy(ies) (stud dog owners first pick) or $1500 US dollars, stud dog owner assigns purchaser the option to acquire the stud service of the dog described above. All fees will be:

The female owner is responsible for any veterinary fees incurred prior to breeding, during breeding (ie emergency services, or any service needed), Artificial insemination charges if necessary (which will then be deducted from final stud fee), and all veterinary fees after breeding.

Please note that PHB will only sign litter and or individual registration papers for United Kennel Club, AKC Foundation Stock Service, or FCI or any country, and Federation Canine du Canada. PHB will NOT sign paperwork for any other all breed or Dogue de Bordeaux specific domestic registries that they feel are not of service to the breed or not reputable. PHB strongly recommends the use of UKC and or AKC FSS for all domestic registrations.

The stud dog owner guarantees that no other dog will be used for stud service other than dog described above. The stud dog owner has the right to void this contractual agreement if any information previously supplied should become known to be false. The stud dog owner also retains the rights to deny stud services to any female that seems unhealthy and or harmful to the female or stud. In these regards, fees will be refunded and no action can be taken against the stud dog owner for loss of litter or income due to litter. Female owner will be notified at soonest time possible to the stud dog owner of any problems with the stud services. It is the owner of the female's responsiblity to have a back up stud if needed, be it another PHB stud or other kennel stud. It will be the female owner's responsiblity for all transportation costs.

In the event that the female does not conceive for reasons unknown, the stud dog owner guarantees a repeat breeding at no upfront charge (other than noted veterinary fees) to the female owner but with the same agreement as noted above. The stud dog owner will take all measures necessary to the best of their knowledge to impregnate the female. All precautions necessary will be taken at all times.

However, in the event that the female described above does not get pregnant after two repeat breedings for causes unknown or known, the stud dog owner has the right to refuse a third breeding without refund.

If the purchaser wishes the insemination be handled by the female owners chosen vet, all incurred fees (collection, chilling, storage, insemination, sperm count etc) are the responsibility of the female owner solely.

In the event of the live birth of one puppy and a puppy is the terms for a stud fee, the female owner and stud dog owner agree to the following terms:

  1. If puppy is to be retained by owner of female and NOT sold at any time, a stud fee of $____ is required within 1 month of final decision of owner of female to keep puppy. If the puppy is to be sold at any time during its life, the female owner will pay the remaining stud fee of $_____ to PHB
  2. If puppy is to be sold, ½ the purchase price of puppy to be given to stud dog owner - minimum selling price of said puppy to be $1500 USD and $2000 Canadian dollars if the dog is sold as a show prospect. If dog is sold as a pet w/ strick contract for spay/neuter, minimum selling price shall be $1000 USD and $1500 Canadian dollars.

In the event that the pregnant female transfers ownership prior to payment - orginial owner is responsible to stud dog owner for payment in full according to this contract. In the event that the female transfers ownership to another party and is not pregnant (after first breeding), the new owner has the option of executing this contract if the previous owner has paid stud fee in full or the stud fee is the option of a puppy.

The owner of the female shall also agree to supply stud dog owner with all names, addresses and phone numbers of clients that purchase puppies from this PHB stud, to comply with recordkeeping regulations of the AKC.

This contract is subject to change at any time prior to finalization by both parties
