Charles River Lucielle is one of our girls and the mom to our first three litters in over 6 years. We received Lucy, called "Lulu" or "Lu" by us, from Anna and Steve Reich (Charles River Bordeaux) of MA in 2002. Lucy is the daughter of Betty the Power of Demons x Bruzer de Domaine du Aquitaine (Blockheads). 
Bruzer is the son of Dortje who is the sister to Michel Bakker's dog Hooch. Hooch is the father of Int'l Ch. Brandoux's Toezz. This opened up a new window of opportunity of breeding to us, to have some of the top Netherlands lines in our home, and to find the males to compliment that. Eventually we would like to bring breedings from Lucy together with breedings of Levon and come full circle with the wonderful French, American, German, Dutch and Hungarian lines we have.
Lucy's very first show was a successful one. She not only won Best Puppy, but went on to win Group 1 Puppy and our very first Best in Puppy in Show win. This was also the DDBS North East Regional show which also earned her a Best in Event win. In 2002 Lucy was awared the Most Best in Show/Event Puppy award from the DDBS. She will hopefully complete her DDBS championship this season.
Lucy recently in the DDBS NE Regional in September of 2005. Here she went up against very nice females, including champion females. She took 1st place Open Bitch, Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite under FCI, SADB judge Mr. Andre' LeBlond of France. She now needs one more major to complete her DDBS championship!
Lucy has passed her OFA Patella and Elbow screening. She was Penn Hip screened at the Univerity of Pennsylvania. Her scores are .63 / .70 which is average for the breed. She is strong and athletic, yet feminine as a female dogue de bordeaux should be. She has a fantastic personality, is gentle with children and the puppies and is a welcome addition to our home. She is registered FCPR (FCI), UKC and AKC-FSS. All pups are registered AKC FSS. We look forward to many successes with Lucy and her offspring.
Lucy's was bred to Brandoux's English Made, Punkin's Levon LHM and Brix de Legeane. She produced 29 babies in three years and is now retired from breeding. We are very happy with all our babies and their homes, we look forward to many happy years for everyone!
