MyVeryOwn Moonlight Diva, known as "JLo" is from the second breeding of Canadian/American/DDBS Ch. MyVeryOwn Tinkerbelle, TT, CGC, TD, LC, HD, WD1,2,3 of Canada to our male, American/Canadian/DDBS Ch. Punkin's Levon LHM, TT. The first breeding produced "Monkey" and we hoped for another fantastic litter, and our hopes were met.
JLo lives in upstate NY with Linda and John. I first met them many years ago in Watertown NY, they had their brand new puppy "Eddy" with them, they had come out for the obedience event. They had recently lost their first dog, Kubrick, to a brain tumor. Through the years they also started showing Eddy in confirmation and we met up more and more. They came to a few shows in NJ although no one else showed, but they kept pushing along. They wanted to get a dog from our girl Alyce, but we had no luck with breeding her. John and Linda are always eager to help with rescue and eventually adopted Cleo from DDBS Rescue. Cleo is a funky little black mask girl. Along the way they also met Leslie and Monkey. When we did the second breeding to Tink, I refered them up to Leslie. And that is just the begining of JLo's saga!
JLo started showing right away, and did fantastic! JLo is shown often in Canada with FCI judges. In Canada, young dogs are shown with the adults and also in puppy class, she has done amazingly well winning not only the puppy classes, but winning the regular classes over seasonsed adults under excellent qualitifed judges. Here is a list of her accomplisments to date, we are so very proud of her and grateful to Linda and John for all their hard work, not only with JLo, but with the breed.
At a show in Canada, judged by a breeder judge, at the age of 4.5 months she took Best of Breed/Best in Event Regular (over specials), as well as a Best of Breed/Best In Event Puppy and Group 4 Puppy.
At the 2003 Nationals in Texas she placed 4th in her class (3-6 month puppy).
When she was 11 months, she took Best of Breed Regular and Best of Breed Puppy under Dr Imbimbo as well as a Group 1 Regular, Group 1 Puppy and a Best In Show Puppy under Dr. Imbimbo.
At the 2003 DDBS North Central Regional in Canada, she won Best of Opposite Sex Regular Christiane LeFay of France and Best of Breed/Best In Event Puppy. She also went on to take 4 more Best of Breed Puppy, 4 Group 1 Puppy (under 2 FCI judges) and also won the Puppy Sweepstakes that weekend. She completed her DDBS Championship this weekend.
In 2004 at the age of 16 months, finished RBCSWO championship with 2 BOB wins, and a Group 3. She took Best of Opposite Sex at the the RBCSWO DDB
specialty
JLo has never received less than an Excellent from FCI judges. She also earned her ATTS Temprament test at 19 months and is currently working on obtaining more working titles.
By the age of 19 months, JLo has acheived 4 Best of Breed Regular, 7 Best of Breed Puppy/Junior, 2 Best of Oppoiste Regular, 5 Group 1 Puppy/Junior, 1 Group 4 Puppy/Junior, 1 Group 1 Regular, 1 Group 3 Regular, 1 Best in Sweepstakes and a total of 4 Best in Show/Event, and her TT. Since then she has kept on moving, taking multiple BOB, BOS and Group wins!
On November 11, 2005, at the Rarities Show in Allentown, PA, J received a BOB under Barrie McMath, and in the after noon BOS under Sergion Gual Fournier, an FCI judge from Spain who specializes in Molossers. It was yet another fantastic weekend for the Diva!
