Updates are Starting
I am trying to do a page or two everyday, as a page gets done, we will announce it and update it. Hopefully within a few weeks everyone will have updated pages and all the pups from LAST year will have their pages (finally!) Today we have uploaded pages on our two new girls, Punkin's Agatha Get The Kitty and Punkin's Lovelorn Opheilia, from our last litter in 2006. Other new pages include Punkin's Agador Spartacus Brock. We have also updated Aengus' (Sassy's) page with new pictures.

New Addition
On March 12 we had our first baby. Olivia Rose was born at 9:50 pm weighing in at a huge 9 lbs 8 oz, and 21.4 inches long! She is a big little girl with a big screaming voice, she definatly likes to be heard!

Update On It's Way! And a New Baby!
Our site was offline for over a month due to our server going out of business without notice. As of today, March 10, it is finally back up but SO out of date! I will be working on updates as much as possible, including news of our recent losses of Levon and Azailia, new pages for all the puppies born last March, and lots of show news. Tom and I are expecting our first HUMAN baby on March 12, so it will take some time, but will all be here soon!

Allentown PA Weekend for JLo and U-Gene
JLo and U-Gene had a banner weekend! JLo wins BOB under Barrie McMath in a Champion bitch class of 6, and U-Gene wins BOS! Later in the day, U-Gene is finally the Bride! He wins BOB and a Group 4 under Sergio Gaul Fournier, FCI molosser expert from Spain! Also JLo takes BOB under Mr. Fournier! A great weekend for Punkin' Head Dogues!

PHB Dogues Have a Great Weekend at DDBS NE Regional
All of our dogs do fantastic at the DDBS NE Regional Show weekend in Manalapan, NJ! U-Gene, Malcom, JLo and Lucy all receive excellent ratings under Slyviane Tompousky of France. The pups, Maggie and Matty, also do fantastic, Matty takes 3rd in her class of six and both girls receive Very Promising ratings! (see their individual pages for critiques). U-Gene goes on to take Winners Dog and Best of Opposite later in the day under Marjorie Tuff, and then on Sunday, he steps up to the plate and takes Winners Dog, Best of Breed and his first Group Two as an adult under Rita Seibel!

Close Encounters of the Fuzzy Kind Photograph Matty, Seamus, Aengus and Lucy!
Once again we spent the day w/ Close Encounters of the Fuzzy Kind taking pictures for upcomind Dogue de Bordeaux calanders and various publications. We took Matty, Seamus, Aengus and Lucy with us. Our friend Jean Sturm brought Harley, Paris and her old man Andre out as well. It was a hot sultry day, but we all fared well and look forward to seeing the pictures in future pubications! I will be posting some of the pictures soon!

Early Summer Update
Early summer was a good for our dogs! In recent shows in NJ and PA with great competition: U-Gene takes Best of Opposite twice, and Best of Breed once, Malcom takes a Best of Breed, JLo takes multiple Best of Breeds and a Best of Opposite, and the pups start showing! Aengus and Maitilda start in the puppy class and Aengus wins several Best of Breed puppy wins and a Group 1 Puppy.

Hannibal's (Gunther) Death
This month we lost the first baby from our second litter, Punkin's Hannibal, called Gunther by his family. He passed away after a short but hard battle with cervical spine problems. His symptoms came on suddenly with a short time painfree, but one day he woke up in severe pain and his family choose to let him go with dignity. He is dearly missed by the Gura's, especially the children who grew up with him. He was an excellent dog with a personality to match and will be dearly missed by us all. Gunther would have been 8 in March of 2006, and is survived by his brother, Levon.

Alyce's Death
This month we lost a second baby from our first litter, Punkin's 2 d' Moon Alyce. She passed away after a very short and hard battle with cancer and a sudden onset of bloat. Ally's passing was a hard blow on her family and the entire Bordeaux community. To this day she remains the only female Dogue de Bordeaux to ever win the Best in Show at the DDBS Nationals, and with that in mind, each year we hope a girl wins the show. We still look forward to the day for another female to take this title. Ally was a fantastic dog, she was loving and gentle, yet a protector of her family and friends, she had outstanding type. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her family, Pete, Barbara, Zoie and most of all, Tony. Alyce would have been 8 years old this August. Alyce's Page

Lucy x Levon Puppies Have Arrived!
Lucy had 9 pups total, 5 girls and 4 boys. Unfortunatly two girls did not make it (1 black mask, 1 red mask). Girls are all red mask, 3 boys are red mask and 1 is black mask. They were born March 17 on St. Patrick's day and they will all have Irish names. The father is our very own breeding, from our second litter produced, Levon. All pups in this litter are spoken for.

Lucy Takes BOS at DDBS NE Regional
At the 2005 DDBS NE Regional, judged by FCI and SADB judge Mr. Andre' LeBlond of France, our Lucy took 1st place Open Female, Winners Bitch, and Best of Opposite earning her a major win. The entry was wonderful and she was up against many beautiful females.

U-Gene Takes BOS Jr Puppy at DDBS NE Regional
Also at the 2005 DDBS NE Regional, judged by FCI and SADB judge Mr. Andre' LeBlond of France, Lucy's son U-Gene took 1st place 3-6 month puppy male against his brother Mal and another nice puppy, and he went on to win Best of Opposite Jr Puppy - taking home a nice prize for his new mom and dad!

U-Gene and Malcom win 50/50 at DDBS NE Regional Weekend
Both Malcom and U-Gene competed against each other and other dogs all weekend to win 2 Best of Opposite Jr Puppies each! U-Gene won both shows (BOS) on Saturday under Andre' LeBlond and Gonnie Schaffer, and Malcom won both shows (BOS) under Betty Lou Paris and Sharon Sakson. We are so proud of both boys!

Levon Receives Cardiac Star from DDBS
Levon passed his recent cardiac exam with a board certified cardiologist from AMC in NY. He has received his Healthy Star in Cardiac from the DDBS.

Malcom and U-Gene do great in their first show
Punkin's Malcom Huggy Bear and his brother Punkin's Capt U-Gene did fantastic in their very first dog show! At the Rarities Independance Classic AM show, Malcom won Best of Breed Puppy, beating his brother and sister, and went on to defeat four other breeds for Group 1 Puppy. At the PM show under an international FCI judge from Portugal, U-Gene took Best of Breed Puppy, defeating his brother and sister and also beat out a beautiful Cane Corso pup for Group 1 Puppy! Both boys handled beautifully and did a fantastic job! Look for updated photos on the "available pups" page soon of the boys and thier ribbons

Punkin's Malcom Huggy Bear, Punkin's Capt U-Gene, and Punkin's Varuca Sweetheart were photographed by the famous dog photogarpher Tara Darling at the Rarities Independance Classic for submission to future Brown Trout Calanders and Dog Magazines. Tara's work can be found just by opening up any dog magazine. We hope to see them in the 2006 or 2007 calanders!

Puppies Dad is now a TT and has his permanent OFA rating!
The official word came today! Brandoux's English Made (Harley) father of our new pups, has officially received his permanent OFA screening with and OFA Fair! Harley's mom and dad both have favorable hip ratings in England! PLUS - Harley recently passed the ATTS Temperament Test at the DDBS Nationals in Las Vegas and is certified by the DDBS as well!

For the fourth year in a row, a dog that is from our home or from our breedings is featured in the annual BrownTrout Dogue de Bordeaux Calander! This year our old lady Hudsan is in it as well as her boyfriend Tonka, and also puppies from MyVeryOwn Bordeaux, breeder of Monkey & JLo!

Charles River Lucielle has been bred to Brandoux's English Made (aka Harley) son of International Ch Brandoux's Toezz from England. A litter of 7 was born on March 28, 2004, three girls and four boys. All are doing well.

MyVeryOwn Moonlight Diva daugher of Levon x Tinkerbell, has successfully completed her Canadian and DDBS Championships. She has won multiple Best of Breeds in Junior, Youth and Adult as well as multiple group wins. We are very proud of "JLo" and her mom and dad, Linda and John.
